Audition Instructions
Beginning Band
- No audition is required.
- This ensemble is intended for students who are starting on their instrument.
- “Music and Arts” will be at TCHS on Sunday 6/7, from 2:00pm – 3:30pm to help new students choose which instrument best fits them, and to complete any instrument rentals.
All Other Bands
- Download audition instructions pdf below and read entirely before preparing your audition.
- Audition music and audition upload link is shown at the bottom of the auditions instructions pdf.
- Intermediate Band - intended for students who have just completed Beginning Band or need to further develop basic fundamentals and music reading (6th – 8th grades recommended)
- Advanced Band - intended for middle school players and some high schoolers (6th – 9th grades recommended)
- Concert Band - For advanced upper middle school students (honor band attendees or superiors on solos) and most high schoolers (8th – 12th grades recommended)
- Wind Ensemble - intended for experienced high school students (9th – 12th grades recommended)
