Staff Bios

CASSIDY GLEATON_Trinity Catholic High School

Mrs. Gleaton is in her 13th year of teaching at Trinity Catholic High School, where she teaches Band, Percussion, and AP Music Theory classes.  Originally from Sanford, FL, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Florida State University in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Music Education degree.  While at FSU, Mrs. Gleaton participated in various ensembles, including four years with the Marching Chiefs, and met her husband, Anthony.  They have three children, Andrew, Zachary, and Daniel.  Cassidy is a member of Florida Music Educators' Association and the Florida Bandmasters Association.  In 2012, she completed her Master's in Music Education degree from the Florida State University.

MICHAEL MARTIN_Lake Weir Middle School

Mr. Martin has been the Band Director at Lake Weir Middle School since 2004.  He earned his Bachelor's of Music Education degree from the Florida State University.  Mr. Martin began teaching percussion in 1994 and has worked and arranged for Bay High School, Godby High School, St. Lucie West Centennial High School, Arnold High School, Belleview High School, Trinity Catholic High School, and Sarasota High School.  Mr. Martin currently lives in Ocala with his wife Cate, Director of Dance at Belleview High School, and their daughters, Cadance and Twyla.

MICHAEL JENNINGS_Lake Weir High School

Mr. Jennings is in his 8th year of teaching at Lake Weir High School, his alma mater.  In 2009, Mr. Jennings graduated from the Florida State University with a Bachelor’s in Music Education degree.  While at FSU, he participated in various musical groups, including four years with Marching Chiefs.  His principal instrument is the trumpet.  He currently plays trumpet professionally in church and for the Southern Express Big Band.

DYLAN JONES_North Marion Middle School

Mr. Jones is the band director and rookie teacher of the year at North Marion Middle School in Citra, FL.  He attended the Florida State University, where he graduated in 2011 with his Bachelor's in Music Education degree.  He currently performs with the Nature Coast Community Band and the Kingdom of the Sun Community Band.  Mr. Jones is a tuba player and alumni of The Cadets, the Boston Crusaders, and the Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps.
